This is the fifth amendment to the regulation for granting incentives for the 2nd phase of the Support Program for More Sustainable Buildings, within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), launched in June 2021 with a global allocation of 30 million euros. euros, which was reinforced in November, January and March, to an overall allocation of 96 million euros, now increased to 135 million euros.

"The recent reinforcements in the allocation of funds have proved to be insufficient in view of the high level of adherence to the Program and it is now important to ensure the funding of eligible applications through a new increase in the allocation of the aforementioned Program", justifies, in the order published today, the Minister of Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro.

The allocation of the 2nd phase of the Program to Support More Sustainable Buildings is now increased by 39 million euros from the allocation allocated to the investment "Energy Efficiency in Residential Buildings" of the PRR, increasing the global allocation of this incentive to 135 million euros .

The second phase of the Support Program for More Sustainable Buildings received more than 106,000 applications, according to data from the Ministry of the Environment released in early May, after the program ended, with 26,000 eligible applications at the time, out of a total of 43. .7 million euros.

Of the eligible applications, the most requested typologies for support were: photovoltaic panels, more efficient windows and heat pumps.

The program is financed by the Environmental Fund with funds from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and aims to improve the environmental and energy performance of residential buildings, increasing thermal comfort and reducing the energy bill of homes.”
